How To Apply
Application Deadline: 5pm Monday February 28, 2011

I. Who is eligible for UCORE?
- U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents.
- Must be age 17 or older by the start of the summer program (June 20, 2011).
- Community college students should be enrolled full-time, with plans for full-time enrollment at the same community college next year (2011-12).
- Students should have completed Math 111 by the start of the summer program.
- Students should have completed at least three college-level science classes with lab (ideally, a sequence of classes) by the start of the summer program.
- First-generation college students and others traditionally underrepresented in the sciences are particularly encouraged to apply.
II. How do I apply for UCORE?
> All Application Materials must be received or postmarked by 5pm Monday Feb 28. <
1. Application: Fill out and submit the online Application Form.
2. Recommendations: Contact two instructors, advisors, professors, work supervisors, or other persons with knowledge of your background and character.
Have them fill out and submit the online Recommendation Form.
At least one of your recommenders should be an instructor or professor.

3. Transcripts: Send a copy of all of your college transcripts (unofficial is OK)
to UCORE Coordinator Kate Hulpke via email or mail. (Addresses below.)
4. Academic Plan: Make a term-by-term plan showing the classes you will take next year (2011-12) signed by an academic advisor or your CC's UCORE liaison. Send plan to UCORE Coordinator Kate Hulpke via email or mail. (Addresses below.)
